Position Summary
Assure consistent product Safety and Quality by testing, measuring and verifying manufacturing operations. Performance of procedures that comply with stated corporate mission and strategic plan, corporate policies, and customer product specifications.
Essential Functions
- Critical Control Point testing of HACCP program: Wash Line and Metal Detection.
- To effectively operate PAA (Peroxy-Serve 15) pumps, sanitizing outlets, and performs testing to assure Organic wash requirements are met.
- To effectively operate chlorine pumps, sanitizing outlets, and performance of testing to assure chlorination wash requirements are met.
- To effectively monitor and test all metal detection units for assurance of metal free production.
- Pre operational testing of sanitation to include: ATP testing of surfaces, and evaluation of cleaning practices.
- Sample pulling for shelf life, microbiological, and customer requirements.
- Packaging and seal testing, relative to container type- such as vacuum, pressure or bubble testing.
- Calibrations on weight scales, thermometers, and all applicable testing tools or detectors.
- G.M.P. monitoring of operation to assure food safe environment.
- Cut size verification and monitoring
- Color code enforcement; sanitation, organics, allergen, others as required
- Hold and release program
- Rework Program
- Shelf life evaluation and sensory testing as required
- Paperwork filing
- Work with soap’s / other cleaning chemicals
- Other duties as required
- Minimum High School Education/G.E.D. preferred or applicable certification
- Good communication skills
- Microsoft Office / Excel / Word- basic computer skills
- E-mail communications
- A working knowledge of English and basic math
- Ability to interact with management
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
