JOB SUMMARY
The Customer Regulatory Compliance Coordinator is responsible for assisting in ensuring the organization's operations, products, and services comply with applicable customer specifications and requirements, as well as, industry regulations and standards. The role involves monitoring regulatory changes, conducting compliance reviews, providing guidance to teams, and assisting in the implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in keeping customers’ external compliance records up to date.
- Review and be aware of customer compliance policies and procedures and support any implementation and monitoring of customer expectations.
- Assist in coordinating efforts throughout departments and work on interdepartmental teams.
- Assist in working on surveys related to compliance, social compliance, and sustainability
- Attend and provide detailed updates to management for any webinars related to compliance, social compliance, and sustainability.
- Assist in completing any necessary training and paperwork related to compliance, social compliance, and sustainability, as well as provide detailed updates to management team
- Assist in building on and monitoring sustainability initiatives.
- Assist in collaborating with various departments to address customer compliance requests and support the implementation of any possible, needed changes.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of compliance activities and prepare reports for management.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry standards.
- Assist in the development of packaging – work with internal teams, packaging suppliers, and in some cases directly with customer packaging design team, as needed.
- Support and assist in the reporting of compliance issues, trends, and corrective action plans to senior management and /or regulators
- Support and assist in the regular review and updates of compliance manuals to reflect changes in regulations or company processes.
- Act as a point of contact for compliance-related inquiries and support.
- Support product and service development teams in evaluating regulatory risks.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, Food Industry, or a related field in their studies that would be preferred but not required.
- Strong enthusiasm and a proactive attitude towards learning and development.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
