Our Company has been forging, heat treating, machining, and testing pipe flanges in the USA for more than 75 years. The company continues to grow with more than 80 employees fulfilling specialty functions such as engineering, quality, inspection, and production. Job Overview

Responsible for manufacturing quality parts produced on various CNC and manual lathe and milling machines (specifically on Masak and Samsung and possibly other machines. Additionally responsible for loading parts, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

• For this position, day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Study and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
  • Measure and mark dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as a guide for subsequent machining
  • Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, make machine adjustments, within capabilities/specifications, controls or control media as required, to ensure quality production
• Perform reasonably similar or related duties, as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5-year experience operating CNC machines, lathes and milling machines in a heavy manufacturing environment
• Intermediate knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments
• Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages indicators and scales
• Intermediate knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with understanding of geometric tolerances and dimension
• Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and other accessories used on various machines
• High School Diploma
• Must be able to follow instructions and have the ability to manage a range of priorities
• Must possess knowledge of plant equipment, utilities, buildings, and grounds
• Must be able to communicate both in writing and orally as it relates to the job
• Must be able to legally work in the US and have necessary government issued documents
• Must be able to operate a forklift and lifting devices
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
• Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job
• Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication
