Job Title: Concrete Estimator

Location: Athens, AL (Remote Candidates Considered, with Some Travel Required)

Salary Range: $60,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience

Job Description:

As a Concrete Estimator, you will play a critical role in the preparation of cost estimates and project bids. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to provide accurate and detailed estimates for concrete-related work. Your expertise in interpreting plans, assessing material needs, and evaluating labor costs will directly impact the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine material and labor requirements.
• Prepare detailed and accurate concrete estimates for a variety of construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate scope of work and project specifications.
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions, verify measurements, and gather additional information as needed.
• Develop cost breakdowns, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor estimates utilizing estimating software.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, to create cost analysis, track estimates, and manage project budgets.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in PlanSwift software for take-offs and estimating.
• Familiarity with ProCore software (or similar project management platforms).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel for cost tracking and analysis.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a concrete estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Ability to travel for site visits and project assessments as needed (typically 10-15% travel).
