Job Summary: The Commercial Construction General Foreman oversees all aspects of construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. This role involves managing on-site activities, supervising workers, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The General Foreman serves as the critical link between field staff and project management, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise, and mentor on-site construction teams.
Schedule daily activities and allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines.
Enforce safety regulations and promote a safe work environment.
Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Monitor work progress, quality, and compliance with project standards.
Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors to resolve any issues.
Ensure tools, materials, and equipment are available and maintained.
Provide regular updates to the Project Manager regarding project status.
Address and resolve any on-site conflicts or delays proactively.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a General Foreman in commercial construction.
Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making under tight deadlines.
Familiarity with workplace safety standards (e.g., OSHA compliance).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred but Optional: Certification in construction management or related field.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when required.
