Experienced Pipe Layers - Commercial Projects

Locations: Oneonta, AL & Good Hope, AL
Pay: $20 - $25 per hour (Based on Experience)
Local Applicants Only - No Per Diem

United Trades of America is hiring Experienced Pipe Layers for commercial construction projects in Oneonta, AL, and Good Hope, AL. We are looking for skilled professionals who have a strong understanding of pipe laying techniques and can work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Install, align, and connect various types of pipes, including water, sewer, and storm drainage systems
Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and specifications to determine pipe layouts
Perform trenching, grading, and backfilling to ensure proper installation
Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies
Work closely with crew members and supervisors to meet project deadlines
Inspect and test pipe systems to identify and repair leaks or defects

Job Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience as a pipe layer in commercial construction
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
Experience working with PVC, ductile iron, concrete, and other piping materials
Proficiency in operating trenching and compaction equipment
Strong knowledge of proper pipe grading, bedding, and alignment techniques
Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. and work in physically demanding conditions
Reliable transportation to and from job sites
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Must be a local candidate - No per diem is offered for this position
