Job Description:
United Trades of America is seeking experienced Roller Operators to join our team in Irondale, AL. This position offers competitive pay based on experience and provides an opportunity to work on challenging, high-impact construction projects. As a Roller Operator, you will be responsible for operating compaction equipment to ensure smooth and even surfaces for paving projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate roller machines for compaction of materials such as asphalt and soil.
- Ensure the proper operation of compaction equipment, including safety and maintenance checks.
- Monitor material consistency and adjust equipment settings as needed to achieve desired compaction.
- Follow project specifications for smooth and uniform surface preparation.
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance on the equipment.
- Communicate with supervisors to report progress and issues.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating roller machines in construction or paving projects.
- Knowledge of compaction techniques and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and physical environments.
