What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Duct Mechanic position at Perpetual Labor Sourcing?
The ideal candidate for this position must have a minimum of 4 years of recent experience with commercial new construction.
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Install HVAC ductwork for new construction / remodel / renovation projects and repair existing systems and equipment utilizing hand and power tools.
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Install fire dampers, smoke dampers, and fire / smoke dampers per code and manufacturer installation guidelines.
- Must be able to make field alterations to ductwork to adjust to field conditions when required.
- Layout and install mechanical equipment
- Layout and install ductwork and equipment hangers using duct straps, threaded rods, hanging wire, Unistrut, and angle using tools such as lasers, saws, hammer drills, and powder-actuated guns, when allowed and with certification.
- Install grilles, registers, and diffusers, including but not limited to lay-in grilles, surface mount grilles, etc.
- Must be able to read and comprehend blueprints
- Other duties as assigned.
