This position will be the primary liaison for Perrigo with its Suppliers for direct materials across multiple sites. The SRM will work closely with our suppliers to ensure customer service, quality and supply chain standards are met for their assigned category. This includes understanding domestic and international logistics, shipment tracking etc. Responsible for coordinating procurement activities for direct materials. Execute tactical procurement processes, comply with procurement policies and procedures, and participate on global supply strategy teams.

Description Overview

Execute tactical procurement processes, comply with procurement policies and procedures, and participate on global supply strategy teams.
Scope of the Role
- Provide support to team to resolve quality deviations, rejections and advisories.
- Generate and distribute monthly supplier scorecards and forecasts, scrutinize for accuracy. Escalate all service and supply concerns through appropriate chains, participate in development and implementation of Supplier improvement plans as necessary.
- Responsible for internal and external customer service level requirements. Including but not limited to MRP review, placing purchase orders within lead time, requesting expedites when needed. Understand supplier downtime, communication of potential material shortages to meet all customer demands.
- Support process improvements (Perrigo and/or Supplier) to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the entire supply chain.
- Primary interface with the supplier on day-to-day material supply and logistic issues.
- Bachelor degree required with focus in business, supply chain management, or a related field. (Consideration may be given with ten years related experience/college education)
- Flexibility, adaptability, problem solving skills, sound decision making, and demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment are required.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, handle interruptions, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, implement solutions, and meet tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment are critical to the position’s success.
- The ideal candidate would possess strong PC skills (word-processing, spreadsheet); SAP experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proven ability to represent Perrigo in a professional manner.
