Description Overview
We are hiring for distribution positions that involve driving powered industrial equipment. These shifts vary and include second or third shift options.
Scope of the Role
- Reporting to the Distribution Supervisor, responsibilities include receiving incoming product, picking customer orders, and loading trucks for shipment to customers.
- Duties consist of driving powered industrial equipment (forklifts, order pickers, dock trucks) and considerable physical activity (repetitive bending, lifting, and twisting).
Experience Required
- A high school diploma (or G.E.D.) is required, along with an excellent attendance record and work history.
- Must have a valid driver's license or one year of motorized forklift or hilo driving experience.
- All candidates must be able to work 40 hours per week, with availability for overtime when necessary.
- Candidates must also be able to train on other shifts.
- Must be able to complete core skills within one month or 30 days, including basic computer skills, math, and reading comprehension.
- Understands and values safety, teamwork, quality, and attention to detail in work.
- Ability to follow direction and Perrigo's standard operating procedures.
- Requires standing for the length of the shift, with breaks every two hours.
- Must be able to see, hear, and understand signs, labels, and instructions.
Physical Requirements:
Consistently stand, walk, lift 60 pounds, pull and push 60 pounds, stoop/bend, squat, twist, reach, grasp, move items/boxes, feel with hands/fingers.
Rarely climb stairs.
Environmental:
Consistently exposed to loud noises/machinery.
