Description Overview
Scientist 1 (Nutrition) will support discovery and translation of advances in nutrition research and literature, including advances by competitors, to Perrigo Nutrition to help develop and execute the preclinical and clinical agenda for the Business Unit. In addition, working closely with Regulatory Affairs, this person supports the technical substantiation of ingredients and current products and the technical defense and exposition of claims and technical support of regulatory submissions for the Perrigo Nutrition portfolio of products.
Scope of the Role
- Support of technical substantiation (including pre-clinical evaluations) either internally or with external parties, in support of current and novel ingredients and products or scientific postulates.
- Support for claims evolution and substantiation in support of current and novel ingredients and products.
- Clinical evaluation of products in infants.
- Working with Director, Scientific Affairs and other key stakeholders (Marketing and Regulatory Affairs) to help frame the innovation agenda for the Business Unit.
- Develop and maintain internal and external scientific networks to help establish scientific opinions to support growth through innovation and renovation.
- Stay abreast of industry and academic innovation by participation in key annual conferences e.g. ESPGHAN, ASN.
- Other duties as assigned.
