Professional Pet Groomer

Job Summary
PerroLand Pet Care is seeking an experienced Professional Dog Groomer to join our growing team! We’re a pet care business dedicated to providing top-notch services for our furry clients, and we’re expanding our grooming offerings.

Position Details:

• Part-Time: Start by working 2 days a week (by appointment) with the potential to grow as we expand our grooming business.
• Flexible Hours: Work on an appointment-based schedule.
• Supportive Environment: We provide everything you need, except your personal grooming tools.
• Compensation: Groomers will earn 65% commission for each appointment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in dog grooming with a focus on quality and care.
• Must provide and maintain your own grooming tools (shears, clippers, brushes, etc.).
• Must be able to successfully groom dogs of all breeds according to proper breed standards.
• Reliable, professional, and passionate about pets.
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes with patience and skill.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members
• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling for various breeds of dogs and cats.
• Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and pet care.
• Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
• Handle dogs safely and comfortably, using appropriate restraint techniques when necessary.
• Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and products to provide the best service possible.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pet grooming
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
• Experience in animal care or handling is highly desirable; familiarity with dog training techniques is a plus.
• Ability to lift heavy animals safely as needed during grooming sessions.
• Knowledge of basic pet care practices and an understanding of various breeds’ grooming requirements.
• A compassionate attitude towards animals combined with patience and attention to detail is essential.
