Client Accounting Services Associate: The Client Accounting Services Associate will manage the day-to-day accounting needs of our clientele, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Responsibilities will include bookkeeping, payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and assistance in financial statement preparation. The CAS Associate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to clearly communicate.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements via software, including but not limited to:
- Maintain asset list.
- Make Journal Entries for depreciation and amortization.
- Allocate income and expenses.
- Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets to calculate allocations of various expenses and make journal entries.
- Review client entries and make corrections by journal entry, as needed.
- Prepare balance sheets, P&L, and general ledger reports.
- Report potential bookkeeping problems to internal management.
- Communicate with clients about their books and gather missing information.
- Educate clients on best practices to maintain their books properly.
- Prepare accounts payable, payroll, including making all required tax deposits and all payroll filings.
- Prepare monthly bank reonciliations.
- Prepare quarterly payroll forms 940, 941, 944, and TWC.
- Prepare annual payroll forms W2, W3, 1099, 1096.
- Collaborate with clients, and assist them as they identify accounting needs, support them on bookkeeping issues, and provide them with training on basic software usage.
- Set up new files with chart of accounts.
- Assist with training and documentation of internal processes.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Experience in QuickBooks Online.
Education and Experience:
- Associates Degree in Accounting required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or other related field preferred.
- Prior accounting/bookkeeping experience strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Salary : $35,000 - $45,000
