What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Football Coach position at Perry Co?
Qualifications:
- Current Alabama Teacher’s Certification (preferred) or classified dependent upon qualifications of the person holding the position.
- Previous experience in sports as a participant and/or coach (preferred) but not required.
- Completion of all requirements set forth by the AHSAA Coaches’ Education Program.
Job Goals:
- Establish performances criteria for competition and manage athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
- Instruct athletes in fundamentals, develop character, model expected behavior.
- Ability to work with players, parents, administration and other coaches.
- Ensures that student-athletes practicing or playing have been cleared through the Athletic Director.
- Attend the AHSAA sponsored rules clinics for his/her sports.
