Position General Summary:
This specialty covers planning and delivery of customer support services including installation, consultation, troubleshooting, user assistance, and training. Functions may include diagnosing and resolving problems in response to customer-reported incidents; planning and analysis of work processes; researching and reporting trends and patterns of problems; developing training materials and performing information system training sessions; developing and maintaining problem tracking databases; installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software; performing backup and recovery operations; consulting with users to identify needs and requirements; conducting feasibility studies and trade-off analyses; preparing business cases; ensuring the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Infrastructure
- Evaluate equipment, components, and software for use in moderately complex information technology systems and solutions, interface with vendors as necessary
- Develop design requirements and prototypes
- Configure and maintain network devices, server hardware, operating systems, and associated services
- Participate in developing plans, schedules, and requirements for the deployment and lifecycle of systems
- Ensure security of network assets
Applications
- Design, develop, test, debug, install, implement, modify, and support new or existing applications software in accordance with area standard practices
- Work with users to analyze their requirements
- Maintain familiarity with installed software standards and procedures and provide technical guidance to other staff
User Success
- Provide technical support of workstations and laptops and technical guidance for assigned customer base
- Facilitate user access to local, department, and hospital-wide information technology resources
- Implement security policies and protocols of the department
- Assist with user account administration, file rights management, and backup/recovery policies and procedures
- Assist in the development of appropriate technology solutions for information delivery and/or learning environments
Facility General Responsibilities:
- Attend facility new hire orientation as scheduled by HR
- Complete Department Orientation Initial Competency within 7 days of hire date
- Complete Department Initial Skills Competency within 90 days of hire date
- Follow facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures
- Respect cultural and religious practices of patients from all backgrounds
- Follow HIPAA regulations at all times
- Be punctual and dependent for assigned shifts
- Dress within the dress code requirements of the facility
- Identifies all patients using at least two identifiers verbally (name and DOB), and by checking ID bracelet
- Follows Hospital Wide and Department Specific policies and procedures
- Must interact with physicians, guest, staff, and patients pleasantly, cooperatively, and effectively

Position Requirements: Education, Work Experience, Licensure, Certifications;
- A minimum of five years progressive experience in information systems related fields.
- Associates degree in Information Systems or completion of technical training program.
- CompTIA A and Network required. CompTIA Security preferred.
Working Conditions:
Primarily works in a well-lit, air conditioned and heated office environment. May be required to work in server rooms, ceilings, under desks, and all manner of environments where IT/Computer devices are found.
