What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respiratory Therapist (PRN, As Needed) position at Perry County Memorial Hospital?
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of respiratory services.
Licensure/Certification: Must be licensed to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Indiana, be a Registered Respiratory Therapist, and be current in BLS/CPR.
Experience: Preferred but not required.
Mental/Physical Effort: Requires attention to detail. Must be precise in patient identification and medication administration in carrying out Physician's orders. Requires the ability to withstand the stress of life and death situations. Frequently helps in decisions regarding patient care. Involves standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, running, bending at the waist and positioning patients correctly to receive therapy. Involves pushing, moving and lifting various pieces of respiratory therapy equipment. Must be able to transfer a patient alone or with the assistance of other staff.
