Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including a Level II Trauma Center, clinics, and home care environments. The Nursing Assistant will support patients with daily activities, monitor their health status, and assist nursing staff in delivering exceptional care. A strong background in critical care, emergency medicine, and behavioral health is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Provide catheter care and assist with mobility by lifting or transferring patients as needed.
- Support nursing staff with medical-surgical tasks and patient assessments.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families about care plans and procedures.
- Assist in behavioral health settings by providing support to patients experiencing mental health challenges.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent training is required.
- Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or PICU is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with home care practices and clinic environments is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely while adhering to proper techniques.
- Knowledge of catheter care procedures is beneficial.
- Must be able to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
