RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as a strategic HR Business Partner for the Dublin Warehouse location.
- Oversee the execution and implementation of human resources policies, procedures, programs, and services including recruitment, selection, retention, legal compliance, employee relations, employment practices and procedures.
- Serves as Senior Human Resources Management support for the Warehouse including, but not limited to, providing support as an internal HR consultant to PEI Management Teams, supervisors and employees on personnel issues that affect performance, legal and business relationships.
- Attends and participates in weekly and monthly communication meetings with the Dublin Warehouse to fully understand the Business Unit and works with the Division Heads regarding strategic planning, long and short term objectives and resolution of day-to-day employee relations and other HR issues.
- Assists with Special projects including bonus programs, merit increase programs, acquisitions, software conversions, and other related projects for the Human Resources Dept.
- Consults with outside Legal Counsel on employment related legal issues. Prepares legal documents, summaries, document collection, and submission of same to legal counsel and/or legal entities.
- Responsible for managing H1B Visa petitions, labor certifications, and other employment related immigration issues
- Manages company-wide legal compliance programs including EEO1 reporting, veterans reporting, Sarbanes Oxley projects, Factory Audits, Internal Audits, etc.
- Coordinates and conducts terminations, exit interviews and administration, and preparation and delivery of severance packages. Oversees PEI file maintenance, file storage/systems and records retention
- Creates and maintains employee handbooks, new hire orientation powerpoint presentations
- Fosters a workplace consistent with the values and mission outlined by the leadership of the company.
SKILLS:
- Knowledge of human resources principles, practices and techniques
- Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations including equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, discrimination and harassment complaints
- Computer skills in Google, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Good organizational skills in order to multi-task
- Ability to work with a diverse group of employees
- General knowledge of retail industry
- General knowledge of recruitment process and employee relations guidelines and interventions
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations and guidelines
- Knowledge of regulations under the Fair Labor Standards Act
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field;
- Ten (10) years of progressive human resources experience, with 5 years at the Director or equivalent level.
- Bilingual preferred.
