Job Summary
This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in food service management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences. Food & Beverage Manager assists the Food and Beverage Director in coordinating, supervising and directing all property food and beverage operations, while maintaining a profitable F&B department and high quality products and service levels. He/she is expected to help market ideas to promote business; reduce employee turnover; maintain revenue and payroll budgets; and meet budgeted productivity while keeping quality consistently high.
Duties
- Supervise daily food and beverage operations, ensuring high standards of quality and service.
- Oversee inventory management to optimize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling and service.
- Lead, train, and mentor staff to foster a positive work environment and encourage professional growth.
- Manage budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality service levels.
- Employees must, at all times, be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
- Coordinate and monitor all phases of Loss Prevention in the F&B department.
- Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner.
- Organize and conduct department meetings on a regular basis.
- Monitor quality of service and product.
- Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws, and health and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure departmental compliance with SOP’s.
- Ensure the training of department heads on SOP’s, report preparation, technical job tasks..
- Interview candidates for front-of-house F&B positions and follow standards for hiring approvals.
- Conduct and/or attend all required meetings, including pre-convention and post-convention meetings.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service management or restaurant management within a hotel or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Experience in training development programs that enhance staff capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for hospitality that drives guest satisfaction.
