- Exceptional student relational skills and a passion for early and middle childhood
education
* Passion to maintain a vertically aligned, successful choral program with a variety of
evening and weekend performances
- Background in voice or vocal pedagogy
- Demonstration of vocal and keyboard proficiency
- Ability to plan and execute public performances
- Passion for a variety of music genres and ability to teach those genres in elementary
and middle school settings
- Demonstrate effective warm-ups and rehearsal techniques
- Assist choir members in attaining correct pitch and desirable tone quality
- Ability to begin and sustain participation in 6th grade choir
- Ability to work with other music department members to serve the needs of shared
students
- Ability to teach music to a wide range of ages and ability levels
- Assist in the recommendation, preparation and evaluation of gifted and talented
students
- Strong ability to operate an organized and well behaved classroom
