Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. Prior childcare experience is not required, but is preferred. As a Daycare Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and educational atmosphere for children of different age groups. Your primary focus will be on promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging activities and effective behavior management strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play.
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, implementing positive reinforcement techniques.
- Supervise daily activities, including meals, nap times, and outdoor play.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the overall well-being of each child.
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, development milestones, and any incidents.
- Provide care for infants / toddlers/ preschoolers as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings. (Preferred but will train the right candidate)
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Strong behavior management skills to effectively handle various situations.
- Familiarity with caregiving techniques for infants and toddlers.
- Ability to create engaging classroom activities that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Experience in special education is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A nurturing attitude with a genuine love for teaching and caring for children.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 44 per week
