Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of optical principles and practices, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service. As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in helping patients select the right eyewear and ensuring that their optical needs are met with precision and care.

Duties

• Assist patients in selecting eyeglasses and contact lenses based on their prescriptions and personal preferences.
• Conduct fittings for eyewear, ensuring proper alignment and comfort.
• Maintain accurate medical records related to patient prescriptions and eyewear orders.
• Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to provide guidance on lens options that best suit individual needs.
• Perform necessary adjustments and repairs on eyewear as needed.
• Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance.
• Collaborate with optometrists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology.
• Submit vision insurance claims.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of optical systems, including lenses, frames, and contact lenses.
• Familiarity with medical and vison insurance terminology related to optical services.
• Understanding and stricly adhearing to HIPAA policies.
• Proficiency in retail math for managing inventory and sales transactions.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
