What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Kitchen Staff position at Perry Preschool and Child Care?
JOB SUMMARY: Substitute Kitchen Staff are responsible for preparing meals for children enrolled in the program using established guidelines and procedures to better meet their nutritional needs.
MAJOR DUTIES:
1. Prepares meals and/or snacks according to menu and Child and Adult Care Food Program requirements.
2. Follows and adheres to safe food handling and sanitation standards according to program requirements and procedures.
3. Obtains, complies, records, and maintains nutritional information for each child.
4. Maintains accurate records according to CACFP and program requirements.
5. Maintains a clean, safe environment in the kitchen and food storage areas at all times.
6. Maintains equipment and kitchen facility and reports to the Food Service Coordinator any necessary repairs or equipment needs in a timely manner, advising of any safety concerns.
7. Performs any other duties assigned by the Food Service Coordinator or Center Director, in keeping with the efficiency and effectiveness of the program.
MINIMUM QUALIFACATIONS:
High school diploma or GED required
License or Degree: None Required
Education/Knowledge: Knowledge of standard cooking terms, measures, and procedures helpful
Minimum Age: 18
