Job Summary
Gainesville's newest luxury event venue is seeking an energetic and proactive individual to market, promote sales, and coordinate events, including overseeing the scheduling of weddings, corporate functions and other events.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and cultivate leads through various channels to achieve sales goals
- Engage with perspective clients to understand their needs and present tailored solutions
- Setup and conduct tours for booking prospective client5s for weddings and other events
- Hire, train, schedule , and oversee event staff, maintaining a positive environment
- Oversee sales and marketing of the venue, including social media, website, wedding wire, and other applicable outreach media
- Work closely with facilities management and operations staff regarding facility repairs, upkeep, and maintenance
- Prepare, schedule, and conduct weekly event planning meetings with staff
- Conduct walk through meetings with clients and their event coordinators
- Maintain Timely correspondence with all clients
- Maintain updated list of approved vendors
- Ensure all policies & procedures are adhered to by clients and vendors
- Maintain a presence and good relationship in the events community through active participation and outreach
- As needed, perform additional duties to ensure the administrative functions of the organization are performed in a professional and effective manner, and support the overall effective operation of the business
Skills
- Two to five years of events, sales and marketing experience preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent is required; college degree or coursework is preferred
- Excellent and professional written and oral communication skills
- Comfortable with public speaking in front of groups, i.e., sales tours, group meetings, community networking, etc.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced, energetic environment
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel)
- Desire to work as part of a team and willingness to promote the principle and views of the organization
- Ability to work with minimal supervision - self motivated & confident
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet defined deadlines
- Ability to work well with people from all backgrounds with varying degrees of experience
Due to the nature of this position evenings and weekend work will be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $49,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
