Job Description:
Perry's Pickles at its core is about doing things the old school way-- no preservatives, no additives, and only natural ingredients that are easy to pronounce. Everything is done by hand-- receiving, preparing, packing in the jars and labeling. We respect the ingredients and elevate to the highest potential. Each item is meant to feel homemade, infused with care and beauty.
- Seeking part time help in the kitchen, 2-3 days per week, 7 hours per day on average.
- Needs change with the season.
- One weekend day may be required on occasion.
- Weekend shifts may become avaiable further into the season.
We are in the PEAK SEASON-- May through November -- an exciting and wild time where we're going full tilt to produce inventory to keep farm stands, farm markets and occasional festivals fully functioning and thriving.

Requirements:
A desire to learn and a can-do attitude!
Focused with a meticulous eye for detail.
Basic kitchen abilities - efficient knife skills and a general understanding of food preparation, and kitchen equipment is preferred but not necessary.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. Food handlers license is an advantage.
Ability to follow recipes with consistent quality.
Strong attention to details, aesthetics and time management skills.
Effective communicator with teamwork abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Cut and prepare ingredients for packing
- Ability to lift and handle 40-50 lb cases, consistently.
- Measure and portion ingredients accurately to ensure consistency in taste.
- Pack jars with ingredients as per the recipe, following guidelines for proper presentation
- Apply labels and batch codes to individual jars.
- Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Speak up with questions, suggestions, and ideas to create a better work environment.
Occasional Responsibilities:
- Pull and pack inventory for wholesale orders as they are received.
- Assist with inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Culinary degree or relevant certification from a culinary school is an advantage but certainly not required.
Because our business is located in an area without access to reliable public transportation, we only recommend that applicants with access to a vehicle apply.
