What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Perry?
Perry is Central Texas' largest independent office products & furniture dealer and has been a part of the Central Texas community since 1920.
We have an immediate opening for an experienced Delivery Driver based in our Temple, Texas headquarters and making deliveries throughout the Austin area daily.

What You'll Do:
- This position begins at 7:00am daily and makes deliveries to the Austin area daily.
- Drive to and from customer locations on deliveries in a company vehicle to make deliveries.
- Provide friendly, professional delivery service for customers.
- Lift, move and carry items throughout the day.
- Occasionally use a forklift/dolly/pallet jack. (will train as needed)
- Other tasks as assigned.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
- At least 2 years of delivery/driving experience is required.
- Familiarity with the Austin areas is required.
- Ability to work a morning shift beginning at 7:00am.
- Ability to pass a standard Drug Screen and Background Check prior to starting work.
- A valid Driver's License & great driving record.
- Ability to get and stay organized through the day.
- Strong attention to detail with names, numbers, and directions.
- A good sense of direction and ability to use a navigation system.
- The ability to lift up to 75lbs.
- A positive attitude & good people skills.
- A neat, professional appearance.
- Basic computer skills.
- Reliable transportation.
