What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Security Technician position at Persevus?
Physical Security Technician
Omaha, NE
Is this you?
You’ve got at least a year in low voltage work—pulling wire, running cable—and maybe more than that. You’ve touched access control, security cameras, badge readers, and know how it all comes together.
But right now, you’re:
- On the road more than you want to be
- Feeling underpaid for the value you bring
- Wondering what’s next for your career
If that sounds familiar, keep reading.
What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)
You’ll join a team of 10 skilled techs in Omaha, installing and upgrading enterprise-level physical security systems. From commercial offices to large facilities, you’ll help protect people and property—with the wiring, hardware, and systems that make it all work.
It’s hands-on, technical work with purpose—and you won’t be stuck doing the same thing every day. As the company grows, so will your opportunities to lead projects, level up your skills, or even move into other roles.
What you’ll need
- At least 1 year of experience in the low voltage industry (pulling wire, etc.)
- Experience installing physical security systems (CCTV, access control, etc.)
- A desire to grow and build a long-term career
What you’ll get
- A path to advance your career—whether that’s becoming a lead tech, trainer, or stepping into other roles
- A team that has your back and leadership that’s building for the future
- Less than 25% Travel - and that is an overestimation!
(And yes, pay that actually reflects your value.)
