Pershing General Hospital is looking to hire Certified Nursing Assistants for our Acute and Long-Term Care departments. Applicants must be licensed in the state of Nevada with current BLS certification.

Essential Functions
- Assists residents/patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), which may include bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Aids residents/patients with mobility and transfers, including walking, using a wheelchair, and repositioning in bed.
- Supports resident’s/patient’s nutritional needs by feeding them, providing assistance with eating, and monitoring food intake.
- Aids residents/patients with medication reminders.
- Measures and records vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, weight, and respiration rates, and documents and reports any abnormal results or significant changes to nursing staff.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of resident/patient information.
- Collaborates with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Follows proper infection control protocols, including hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
- Adheres to safety guidelines to prevent falls, accidents, and injuries to residents/patients and self.
- Recognizes and reports any potential hazards or safety concerns in the resident’s/patient’s environment.
- Completes echocardiograms (EKGs) as directed if properly trained and participates in regularly scheduled competency trainings.
- Participate in quality assurance and process improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
