Summary: This position has the responsibility for providing quality support to different areas of the company including manufacturing and MRB (Material Review Board)

Reports to: Process Quality Supervisor

Direct Reports: None – this is an individual contributor position with high visibility and critical path deliverables

Responsibilities and Deliverables:

• Provide quality coverage and floor support for manufacturing, including inprocess inspections for sub assemblies and final quality inspection
• Help reduce manufacturingrelated OBQ (out of box quality) incidences through inline inspection and process improvements
• Validate that NCRs generated on the floor have accurate problem statement with marked up drawings; ensure nonconforming materials flow
• Enforce quality policies and good manufacturing practices, such as cleanroom protocol through monitoring, training, and encouragement
• Collaborate with other quality team members and cross functional teams on corrective actions, root cause investigations, and other continuous improvement activities
• Any other task or project assigned by direct supervisor or head of quality
• Upload data to customer portals
• May require flexibility to work overtime
  
  

Skills Required:

• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface with an organization at all levels; being able to work collaboratively and professionally despite occasional disagreements
• Inspection utilizing a variety of techniques including visual inspection, conventional metrology (height gages, gage pins, thread gages, and dial indicators), calipers, micrometers, functional gages, etc.
• Comfortable with use of MS Office Suite of Products, especially Excel, Word and Power point
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic, fast paced, diverse environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  
  

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a capital equipment manufacturing environment
• Experienced with use of technical drawings, following manufacturing work instructions and inspection procedures
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience working in an ISO 9001 or similar environment
  
  

Education Required:

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
  
  

Other Requirements:

• Position requires work inside cleanroom most of the day following all cleanroom protocols
• Work requires standing, walking, bending, squatting, and kneeling; grasping, lifting, or moving up to 50 pounds; working on the computer sometime
