ServiceNow Developer
Design, develop, and implement solutions on the ServiceNow platform, leveraging expertise in ServiceNow development, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, architect solutions, and deliver high-quality applications that meet business needs and objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
formulate and define specifications, as well as developing, modifying, and maintaining complex systems and subsystems using vendor engineering releases and utilities to ensure optimal operational performance.
Apply advanced analytical techniques to gather user information, define work problems, design technology solutions, and develop procedures to resolve challenges.
Responsible for creating comprehensive specifications that enable computer programmers to develop the required programs, analyzing methods of approach, and preparing system improvement recommendations for management and user consideration.
Provide technical support and guidance to development teams, including mentoring junior developers and reviewing code to ensure quality and adherence to best practices. Stay updated on emerging ServiceNow features, technologies, and best practices, and recommend their adoption where appropriate.
Additional duties include reviewing task proposal requirements, gathering and analyzing data, preparing project synopses, comparing alternatives, preparing specifications, resolving processing problems, coordinating with programmers and engineers, and orienting users to new systems.
Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of ServiceNow solutions, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and bugs identified during testing and production deployment.
Operates with significant autonomy, making decisions on techniques and approaches to achieve desired outcomes
Work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and other IT teams to gather requirements, provide updates on development progress, and solicit feedback on solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between ServiceNow solutions and broader organizational goals and initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5 years of experience as a ServiceNow developer, with a focus on custom application development and platform customization.
- Experience with ServiceNow integration technologies and related technologies.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in ServiceNow applications and configurations.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- ServiceNow certifications or other IT domains are highly desirable.
