Position Overview
The Fiscal Intermediary Coordinator (FIC) is responsible for the oversight and compliance of their caseload. FIC's work with members of Self-Directed Participants Circle of Support Team, which can include but not limited to, Designee, Support Broker, Vendors, and Care Managers. FICs are responsible for reviewing SD Budgets and reviewing/processing reimbursement.
- Provide support and training to all individuals on caseload, and members of the Circle of Support Team (Support Brokers, Self-Hired Staff, and Designee) on all aspects of Self-Directed Services. This can include but not limited to, employer responsibilities, budget management, and uploading invoices.
- Review and Approving time sheets for payroll and service records, while monitoring Overtime.
- Participate in Annual and Semi-Life Plans meetings to discuss issues related to self- directed staffing and/or supports and budget expenditures as required or as requested. While supporting them to develop a Person-Centered Plan.
- Incident management - reporting/investigating related to self-hired staff as required.
- Conduct audits to ensure PCCS/OPWDD compliance.
- Maintain communication with OPWDD regarding participant and services.
- Participate in PCCS and external committees, trainings, and community events.
- Provide self-hired staff with required mandated OPWDD trainings.
- Provide professional and development trainings for self-hired staff as requested by participant and/or designee.
- Any additional responsibilities deemed necessary by your supervisor.
Job Skills
- Tech proficiency: Skilled in data entry, OPWDD and PCCS's EHR management, and Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Professional commitment: Dedicated to meeting participant and stakeholder needs, considering impact on service satisfaction, and taking personal responsibility for resolving issues.
- Effective communication: Clear and articulate in verbal and written communication, promoting open and transparent dialogue.
- Organizational skills: Detail-oriented and organized, proficient in managing tasks, meetings, invoices, compliance, and digital files.
- Adaptability: Adapts to changing circumstances, embraces continuous learning, and adjusts approach to tackle new challenges.
Education:
- Bachelors Degree preferred in related fields such as: Psychology, Human Services, Social Work, Mental Health, etc.
Experience:
- 1 years of IDD experience required
- 1 years of customer service experience required
