Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and/or other developmental Disabilities
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment goals
- Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to create and maintain a positive therapeutic environment
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain confidentiality of client information
- Comply with Person Centered Care’s policies and procedures
- Participate in annual specialized training to best support the individual’s needs
- Complete professional development hours as directed by Person Centered Care
- Maintaining documentation in compliance with Person Centered Care’s procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Satisfy all RBT Course Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
(Previous experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or other Developmental Disabilities is a must)!
Skills:
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
- Familiarity with data collection methods
- Ability to implement behavior intervention strategies effectively
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
