Summary Objective
This job works under close to general supervision according to set procedures but determines how or when to complete tasks.

The starting salary will be determined with consideration given to both the candidate's educational background and relevant work experience.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record per County policy.
This is a non-exempt position. Part-time employees cannot work more than 1000 hours per calendar year.
Essential Functions
The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
- Cleans and services offices, rooms, halls and stairways.
- Sweeps, mops and scrub floors; vacuums carpet.
- Maintain safe working environment.
- Dusts, polishes and washes woodwork, fixtures and furniture.
- Empties and cleans trash receptacles; disposes trash.
- Maintains bathrooms in a sanitary condition; fills tissue, towel and soap dispensers.
- Clean up potentially hazardous materials or contact the appropriate personnel.
- Maintains custodian supply closets and reports needs to supervisor.
- Cleans walls, window, shelves, and mirrors as needed.
- Reports items or issues requiring maintenance repair.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- Completion of sufficient education to ensure the ability to read and write, and some experience in building cleaning work.
- Must pass job function test.
Special Certifications and Licenses
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
Person County conducts pre-employment screening on candidates. Job offers are conditional pending the following:
