- Collaborate with Asian sourcing teams to identify and implement global sourcing solutions tailored to business needs.
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to uncover new supply chain opportunities.
- Identify, evaluate, select, and manage supplier relationships, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to deliver cost-effective procurement solutions.
- Monitor market dynamics and capitalize on cost-saving opportunities within the scope of sourcing categories.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Development, and Operations, to ensure procurement aligns with business goals.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers, regularly evaluating and addressing performance issues as needed.
- Actively support the development of a high-performing procurement team through coaching, mentorship, and professional development initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent preferred).
- 5 years of experience in relevant roles, such as Supplier Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Sourcing Professional, or Casting Process Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machined materials, ferrous castings, fabrication, and welding.
- Proven experience in global sourcing, supplier evaluation, and cost negotiation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to conduct in-depth market research and leverage data to make informed decisions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective strategies.
