Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Global Sourcing Engineer to join our team as part of the Global Sourcing organization, which thrives on knowledge-driven sourcing strategies. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in engineering design, manufacturing processes, cost modeling, and quality assurance to lead global strategic sourcing initiatives. You will work closely with teams across Asia and globally to identify and execute optimal supply chain solutions that meet our business objectives while reducing costs.

This position is ideal for a candidate with a background in Supplier Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Sourcing, or Casting Process Engineering within industries such as machine building, construction equipment, white goods, or automotive.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and drive global strategic sourcing initiatives with a focus on reducing material costs and optimizing supplier partnerships.
• Develop and execute comprehensive Asia supply chain initiatives targeting cost reduction without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with Asian sourcing teams to identify and implement global sourcing solutions tailored to business needs.
• Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to uncover new supply chain opportunities.
• Identify, evaluate, select, and manage supplier relationships, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to deliver cost-effective procurement solutions.
• Monitor market dynamics and capitalize on cost-saving opportunities within the scope of sourcing categories.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Development, and Operations, to ensure procurement aligns with business goals.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers, regularly evaluating and addressing performance issues as needed.
• Actively support the development of a high-performing procurement team through coaching, mentorship, and professional development initiatives.
  
  

Desired Qualifications And Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent preferred).
• 5 years of experience in relevant roles, such as Supplier Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Sourcing Professional, or Casting Process Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machined materials, ferrous castings, fabrication, and welding.
• Proven experience in global sourcing, supplier evaluation, and cost negotiation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to conduct in-depth market research and leverage data to make informed decisions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective strategies.
