Job Description:
We are seeking a male support worker with experience working with individuals who have autism and behavioral needs. The client is a large adult male who requires constant supervision and a structured routine. At times, he may display challenging behaviors when he feels frustrated or cannot express himself. The ideal candidate will be calm, patient, and confident in supporting individuals with behavioral needs in a respectful and safe manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide constant supervision and engagement
- Support the client in expressing his needs
- Organize the client’s toys and personal items daily
- Go on 2–3 supervised walks around the home daily
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks throughout the day
- Follow the client’s daily care plan and behavioral support strategies
Requirements:
- Male caregiver preferred due to the client’s physical and behavioral support needs
- Experience with individuals with autism and behavioral challenges
- Physically capable of assisting a large adult
- Patient, dependable, and structured
- Able to follow detailed care instructions and communicate clearly
- Background check required
Preferred but Not Required:
- CPI, Safety-Care, or other behavior training
- CPR/First Aid certified
- Bilingual is a plus, but not required
Compensation:
$15 per hour
