Job Title: Supported Living Coach (Part-Time)
Location: Ocala, FL
Job Type: Part-time
Schedule: 4.5 hours per week
Pay: $21.00 - $23.50 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Job Description:
Personal Care Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Supported Living Coach to assist a female client in achieving greater independence and improving her quality of life. The ideal candidate will provide coaching, guidance, and support in daily living activities, goal setting, and personal development.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the client with developing independent living skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and self-care.
- Encourage and support the client in making personal decisions and achieving goals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Document progress and maintain records in accordance with program requirements.
- Communicate effectively with the client, family members, and support team.
Qualifications:
Providers of supported living coaching services must be at least 18 years of age and meet, at a minimum, one of the following education and experience requirements:
- Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in education, rehabilitative science, business, or a related degree.
- Have an associate’s degree or two years of college from an accredited college or university and two years of documented direct experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Have one year of college from an accredited college or university and three years of documented direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Have four years of direct professional experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, which may substitute for college on a year-for-year basis.
Additional preferred qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow a structured support plan.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to the client’s home in Ocala, FL.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
