Job Overview
We are seeking skilled experienced caregivers, meaning PCA's, HHA's, and CNA's who are reliable, love what they do and are driven to care for the older generation to join our team! If you are looking for an opportunity where you can have a flexible schedule, we have several opens with current clients. Our shifts vary from 3 to 8 hours each 7 days a week.
You will have the responsibility to help implement care plans that nurture aging adults in body and mind. You will follow a personalized care plan for each client assisting in scheduled activities as well as overall care management. Our hope is that you will treat your clients like neighbors, going above and beyond to enrich their quality of daily living.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional care to dedicated clients in their homes.
- Help execute personal care plans along with scheduled appointments and events.
- Provide companionship along with social and emotional support.
- Assist clients with personal care activities as hygiene and grooming tasks, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with feeding and meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Help clients with mobility, including lifting and transferring as needed.
- Providing the client with light housekeeping such as washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning all living areas including bathrooms and laundry.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities by facilitating daily activities and social interactions.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervising staff.
- Foster a supportive relationship with clients to encourage their independence and self-esteem.
Skills
- Ability to lift clients safely and assist with mobility needs. Experience with a Hoyer Lift.
- Alzheimer's and Dementia experience is a plus
- Experience in home care or care in a facility.
- Knowledge of ADLs and the ability to assist clients effectively.
- Incontinence care experience a must.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies to handle challenging situations compassionately.
- Strong cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic living environment for clients.
- Ability to use good judgement and remain calm.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and team members.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
