In Home Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, and those requiring assistance due to age or health conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients through personalized care and support.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide medication administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
• Support clients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting and transferring individuals safely.
• Observe and report changes in clients' physical or emotional conditions to family members or healthcare providers.
• Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
• Document care provided and any significant observations in compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with family members, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or hospice care is preferred.
• Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism is highly desirable.
• Strong skills in patient observation and the ability to recognize changes in client conditions.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor when interacting with clients and their families.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not mandatory; training can be provided.
• A valid driver's license may be required for transportation purposes depending on client needs.
