PAY:
Base rate of $42.00 per hour. Shift differential is an additional 10% for overnight shifts (i.e. $42 x 1.10 = $46.20).
SCHEDULE:
Monday - Friday, 11pm - 7am.
Additional hours or shifts may occasionally be required on short notice to ensure the safe operation of the facility.
JOB FUNCTION:
Responsible for the delivery of professional nursing care and milieu management for assigned mental health programs, supervising Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Mental Health Technicians in their delivery of services. Provides clinical and administrative support, problem solving and decision making to all units and the Access Center. Works closely with members of the treatment team to enhance communication and provide quality consumer care. Maintains competence in diverse demographics, including juveniles and adults of all ages.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Registered Nurse with Florida licensure. Three (3) year’s experience in public mental health nursing inpatient setting and one year experience in medical/surgical nursing preferred. Proven ability to display good clinical judgment with clients, manage multiple tasks and handle human resource issues with employees. Working knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to sit, twist, bend and stand for long periods. Must be able to independently navigate from building to building and differing locations. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing. Must be physically able to perform Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention (NAPPI) skills.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exposure to consumers and all possible program emergencies and conditions; to possible irregular working hours; to a variety of work locations as the need arises.
