Personalcare Registered Professional Nursing P.C. is looking for enthusiastic and hard-working Medical Assistant (MA) to work part-time on the day shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) in the Medical Department at the Monroe County Jail located in Rochester, NY. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for a variety of daily tasks such as medical records request, administrative reports, Continuity of Care (COC) release, and other medical duties including but not limited to:
- Maintaining examination and treatment areas
- Verification of medications and medical information
- Maintain medication records
- Answer telephone and processing calls
- Maintain filing system and confidentiality of information at all times
- Provide full administrative and clerical support to the medical department at the facility to include typing of various reports, letters and memorandum
- Data Entry
- Scanning documents into the computer
- Assisting with the credentialing process of new hires
- Maintain staff log
- Schedule transports
- Assist with billing

Salary Description: $17.00 / Hour base rate plus shift differentials up to $8.00 / Hour

Requirements:The Medical Assistant must have completed an approved Medical Assistant program and also bring some clerical experience and ability to type to the position in order to be considered.
