We are hiring for a combined optician and front desk role for our optometry office. We have an excellent team and are seeking someone to add to our caring atmosphere. Doing best for patients is our top priority. Our ideal candidate must be friendly and always willing to help, keeping the patient experience in mind during every interaction.
Experience working in eyecare is preferred. We need someone who is friendly with patients and coworkers, comfortable with sales and able to multitask effectively. Finding a good mutual fit is most important. Pay is negotiable based on current skillset and experience. We encourage ongoing training and education, and will cover fees for professional certification.
Job Duties Include
- Assisting patients with frame and lens selection, focusing on meeting their needs.
- Helping patients understand vision and medical insurance benefits.
- Dispensing, adjusting and repairing eyewear.
- Receiving and verifying orders.
- Troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
- Greeting patients as they enter the office, including check-in for appointments.
- Answering phones as needed.
- Checking out patients, including taking payment.
- Effective multitasking to handle multiple patients when necessary.
- Opportunity is available to assist doctors with exam testing.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
