This position is a hybrid role based in New York City.

As a Staff Level Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving technical excellence and innovation within the organization. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex systems. Your expertise will be essential in solving technical problems and contributing to the overall success of the team and company. At Personio we have various Staff Engineering positions open within our Product, Platform, and Security teams. Our components are built using Java / Kotlin for the backend and React on the frontend. All our components are dockerized and deployed on Kubernetes on AWS.

Role Responsibilities : What you'll do

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers while participating in interviewing / hiring new talent.
• Collaborate with various cross-functional teams and stakeholders on team related tech related projects.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code in accordance with coding standards and best practices.
• Analyze complex technical problems and propose innovative solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design, documents, API documentations, and knowledge-sharing materials.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.

Salary Range

225,000 to $240,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

Please note, the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be commensurate with the candidate's final level and final location. Also, this range represents base salary only and does not include equity, or benefits, if applicable.
