Job Summary:
We are looking for a Machining Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will analyze technical drawings, assess material and labor costs, and prepare quotes for machining projects. A solid understanding of machining processes and cost estimation will help ensure accurate and efficient project bids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review engineering drawings and technical specifications to understand project needs.
- Estimate costs for materials, labor, and tooling for machining projects.
- Work with engineering, production, and sales teams to develop cost estimates.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
- Source materials and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare and submit proposals and quotations to clients.
- Review past projects to improve future estimates.
- Stay updated on industry trends and machine technologies.
- Help with project planning to ensure project success and profitability.
- Communicate with customers regarding pricing, scope, and timelines.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in a similar machining estimation or manufacturing role.
- Knowledge of CNC machining, fabrication, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Familiar with cost estimation software and ERP systems.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities.
Education & Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
- 1 years of experience in machining or manufacturing estimation.
The hours are:
Monday through Friday - First Shift
The pay is up to $24.00 an hour
