Job Summary
We are seeking a Facility Technician to help keep our facility clean, safe, and well-maintained. This role involves regularly walking the premises to pick up cardboard, debris, and other waste, ensuring a tidy and organized environment. Responsibilities also include pressure washing surfaces, general cleaning, and assisting with overall facility upkeep. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically active, and takes pride in maintaining a clean workspace.
Duties
- Walk the facility regularly to pick up cardboard, debris, and other waste to maintain cleanliness.
- Use pressure washers to clean walkways, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
- Ensure common areas, docks, and outdoor spaces remain tidy and free of obstructions.
- Dispose of waste properly and follow recycling procedures for cardboard and other materials.
- Perform light maintenance tasks related to facility cleanliness and upkeep.
- Report any safety hazards, spills, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow all company safety protocols and use proper protective equipment.
- Assist with additional cleaning tasks or projects as assigned.
Experience
- Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, facilities maintenance, or a similar role preferred.
- Experience using pressure washers or other cleaning equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and stay active throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to cleaning and waste disposal within a manufacturing facility.
- Comfortable working in outdoor and indoor environments in varying conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to facility upkeep.
