Job Summary
This full-time janitor will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all production area and public areas. Follows all company rules and regulations, including safety.
Responsibilities
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- Perform the general cleanup of all areas of the building as directed
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
- Must empty out trash from ALL departments at the end of the day
- Must empty out all chemical waste can
- Gather all the empty drums and station in the recycle area on a daily basis
- Must notify Operations Manager and/or Purchaser Specialist when empty drums need to be picked up by vendor
Qualifications
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 lbs
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing, construction, or wholesale
- Punctual, responsible, and reliable; attention to detail
- Team Player
- Ability to follow direction well and learn tasks easily
- Ability to stand on feet for 8 to 10 hours a day and work overtime if needed
- Ability to bend at the waist and use repetitive hand and arm movements
