Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong understanding of various welding techniques and tools. This role involves working on diverse projects, primarily in a construction site environment, where attention to detail and quality workmanship are crucial.
Duties
- Perform MIG welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet project specifications.
- Assemble metal components using power tools and welding equipment.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
- Conduct inspections of welded joints to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety standards.
- Operate forklifts for the movement of materials and equipment as needed.
- Utilize micrometers and other measuring tools to ensure precise dimensions during fabrication.
- Engage in pipe threading tasks as required for specific projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficient in MIG welding techniques with a solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication.
- Familiarity with stick welding is advantageous.
- Experience operating power tools and heavy machinery, including forklifts.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Capable of working effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Knowledge of construction site practices and safety regulations is preferred.
