Logistics Representative

Transportation Management :

  • Arrange and schedule freight shipments (truckload, LTL, air, ocean) with carriers.
  • Negotiate rates and service levels with carriers.
  • Track shipments and provide timely updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve transportation issues and address any delays or discrepancies.
  • Monitor and analyze transportation costs and identify areas for improvement.

Warehousing and Inventory Management :

  • Oversee inventory levels and ensure accurate stock records.
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Manage warehouse space utilization and optimize storage solutions.

    • Customer Service :

  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to shipments and deliveries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.

    • Documentation and Reporting :

  • Prepare and maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, freight costs, and inventory turnover.
  • Analyze data and identify trends to improve logistics processes.

    • Compliance :

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transportation and logistics activities.

    • Other Duties as Assigned :

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

    • Salary : $20 - $21
