What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aerospace Quality Assurance Inspector position at Pervan Industries?
Pervan Tooling Co is looking for a bright and dependable candidate to join our quality team as a 1st shift Quality Assurance Inspector. We are a leader in precision aerospace solutions since 1955 specializing in sheet metal, hydroforming, CNC punching, routing, brake forming, water jet, machining, and assemblies.
Essential Job Duties: (which include, but not limited to):
- Inspection of received material, in-process components and finished products utilizing various precision measuring tools, test equipment and visual inspection, to applicable drawings and specifications.
- Inspection of products and material, then generating inspection reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 specification
- CMM and PCMM FARO probing and scanning features of machined parts
- Ensuring material products and processes are applied in accordance with applicable drawings and specification requirements
- Interfacing with production personnel and determining if quality issues related to workmanship exist
- Verification of calibrated tools and specialized tooling, mylars to ensure that gauges and measuring media are within calibration interval prior to use
- Ensuring nonconforming materials are segregated from acceptable parts and are properly documented and controlled in accordance with quality policy
- Document and mylar control
- Adherence to safety policy including PPE in shop areas (safety shoes, earplugs, and safety glasses)
Minimum Requirements:
- College degree preferred but not required, will consider college student
- Competent with computers & Microsoft Office software
- Must be able to interpret engineering drawings including GD&T
- 5 years of mechanical measuring tools including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, scales, pin and radius gauge, dial indicator, height gauge, etc. experience
- 5 Manual CMM and PCMM FARO probing and scanning experience
- Ability to pass basic shop math test
- Ability to pass blueprint reading test
- Ability to pass inspection test
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extensive periods of time
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs
- Sit, Stoop, Kneel and Crouch
- Must be able to navigate production areas and reach items both high and low
Starting pay based on experience.
Overtime may be required on an as needed basis.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
