The Program Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our client's operational excellence initiatives and maximizing value delivery through efficient program management practices.
Working closely with internal cross-functional teams, including Delivery, Supply and Logistics, Technical Support, Engineering, and Account Management, the Program Manager is instrumental in meeting business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and integrate all Program-related activities across different departments and teams.
- Ensure alignment of all activities to effectively meet program goals and objectives.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive program plan that includes all related projects and deliverables.
- Ensure all activities align with organizational priorities and objectives.
- Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the program, ensuring the aggregation of performance metrics for full visibility.
- Develop and oversee the program budget and track expenditures.
- Perform variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget) and forecast to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency.
- Identify potential risks and formulate mitigation plans to minimize impact on program outcomes.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives to overcome challenges encountered during program implementation.
- Establish and manage a program governance structure.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication across all stakeholders, ensuring alignment on objectives and progress.
- Provide regular updates on program status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders.
- Aess staffing needs for the program, ensuring sufficient resources are available to meet project demands.
- Participate in recruitment by identifying required skills, conducting interviews, and providing hiring recommendations.
- Identify training requirements, coordinate training sessions, and promote skill development for team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- PMP or PgM certification.
- Minimum 7 years of proven experience as a Program Manager in a client-facing role, with a successful track record managing large-scale, multi-phase programs with budgets over $10M—preferably in the Technology, Energy, Utilities, or Manufacturing sectors.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide teams and influence stakeholders for successful program delivery.
- Adaptability in communication to engage, collaborate, and build effective relationships across teams.
- Exceptional organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Jira, MS Suite, etc.).
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and quickly adjust to changing priorities.
- Demonstrated capability to simplify complex situations and communicate them effectively to diverse audiences.
- Experience managing human capital and performance for teams of 20 employees, including overseeing recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and career development initiatives.
