Pest Control Technician / Manager In Training

You will be considered a technician to start, but at Pestify we don't believe in putting our team members in a box. We want you to advance quickly and take on many roles here. Once you get a grasp on technician work, you may be trained on other departments at the company like Incoming Calls, Scheduling, and Business Operations. Being locked into one role can become boring and repetitive. Work should be fun and encourage new growth. Ultimately this provides a far better experience for our customers, and much more fulfilling work for our team members.

What Being A Pest Control Technician At Pestify Looks Like:

- Become a licensed professional pesticide applicator in the state of Idaho by taking a certified applicator test through the Idaho State Department of Agriculture. (Paid training and licensing)

- Spray pesticides on residential and commercial properties in a safe and effective manner, keeping records of what, where, when, and how you applied the sprays.

- Be on time to appointments, be friendly to customers, and give our customers the results they are seeking.

- Drive company vehicle to homes encompassing the Idaho Falls, Rexburg, Driggs, Swan Valley, and Pocatello areas to service customers for common pest issues inside and outside of their home.

- You will not be required to go into attics or in crawl spaces, we do not spray those areas as they are unsafe to go in.

- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds consistently

- Your schedule is full time Monday - Friday

- $14/hr to start, then $16/hr starting September 1

- As a technician you will learn how to eliminate common pests in our area such as hobo spiders, wasps/hornets, ants, earwigs, centipedes, mice/voles, cockroaches, mosquitoes, and more. You will not deal with wildlife such as raccoons, birds, or snakes. We eliminate insects and mice only.

- You'll work outside, it's independent work, hands on, run your own route each day, build relationships with customers, be respectful in their homes, eliminate their pest issues with our excellent training, top tier products, and professional techniques.

This job is perfect for you if you are 21 - 24 years old, if you like working independently, if you enjoy working outside, and if you can be responsible with toxic chemicals as they will be sprayed near our customers dog toys, children's toys, in living spaces, etc.

We are hoping to develop a future Service Manager in you. If you are a good fit for our culture, you will be a technician for one season and next year be first in line to be Pestify's Service Manager, which pays $20/hr.

There will be a half day on the job trial if your interviews go well to see if it's a good fit, and a 90 day probation period once hired.
